Overview
This online course is designed to guide you through the Level 3 Award in Education and Training qualification in a straightforward and supportive format. It uses a step by step approach using written explanations and learner activities.
What’s involved?
The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (PTLLS) course is designed to teach you the skills and qualities required to become a good teacher and to develop a successful learning environment.
The course covers three mandatory units. On enrollment on the course you will be sent the online and distance learning resources. The resources guide you through the course criteria step by step. At the end of each topic you are given clear guidance on how to answer each specific criteria.
In addition to completing the written assessments you are also required to deliver a 15 minute micro teach lesson. This can be videoed or delivered via a webinar eg Skype.
What you get out of it.
Learners will achieve the nationally recognised Ofqual Level 3 Award in Education and Training Certificate.
The aim is to give learners the confidence and knowledge to teach. By the end of the course learners will understand how to set up an effective and inclusive learning environment. Everyone on the course designs, delivers and evaluates a 15 minute micro-teach, gaining invaluable feedback from their teacher.
Who’s it for?
This course is designed for individuals who would like to start teaching or for those who are already teaching but need a nationally recognised qualification for their career development.
It is designed for both the private training industry and post 16 educational institutes, and covers the generic teaching skills that are required in becoming an effective teacher/trainer.
In particular this qualification is excellent for trainers who would like to open their own training organisation in their own specialist field.
